Region rivals South Aiken and North Augusta met last night for the second time in four days, and AugBball’sSeth Wesley was there so we could bring you the full game highlights and scoring details below. Even though the host Yellow Jackets excited fans with a few fantastic plays that we placed at the beginning of the highlight video, the Thoroughbreds prevailed to complete the season sweep and begin the 8 game regular season region slate 2-0.

It’s still early, but the importance of South Aiken’s pair of wins over the back-to-back region champions cannot be overstated. Unlike in Georgia, South Carolina has no region tournaments, so the state tournament seeds for these two teams, along with Midland Valley (2-0), Aiken (0-0) and Airport (0-1), depend on the results of these 8 league games.
